Arrows Archery Bowstring

Bowstring for the bows in the Arrows Archery kit. The little wizard bows that come with the arrows archery kits use these strings. Whilst the strings are robust, even when well cared for will eventually need replacing as they are a consumable part.

Changing an Arrows Archery Bowstring is an easy process but should always be done by an adult:

To remove the string you need to flex the bow to cause the string to become slack which will then allow you to unhook the string from the end of the bow and pull it back through the hole, it is easiest to put one end of the bow against the side of your foot to flex it as this leaves your other hand free to remove the string. Once you have removed the string from one side you can simply unhook and pull through the string on the other side.

To put a new string onto the bow, feed the string through the hole at the end of the bow, you need to insert it from the backside of the bow (the side that faces you when you are holding it), you can then hook the loop over the tip of the bow and pull on the string to pull it tight. You then repeat the process on the other side, again to feed the string through and hook it into a place you will need to flex the bow enough to allow the string to pass through the hole.
