Getting Started
For beginers we always reconmend getting some shooting experience before coming to buy your equipment, the majority of clubs will have equipment for you to borrow or will run a beginers course. The reason we reconmend this is because the bow that you will want for your first few weeks of archery will be completely different to the bow your require after a few weeks of shooting. In the rst few weeks of shooting people normaly improve their technique and also build up strength, both of these factors can affect the size and power of the bow that you require.
When you come into store we will get you to try a range of bows to find the one that is right for you, it is always useful to know the size and draw weight of the bow that you have been using as this gives us a starting point. We filmed a video with Michael Peart to cover some of the basics

A little bit about us, Wymondham Archers is a family and community friendly archery club, run entirely by volunteers., , Archers are welcome to join us from clubs anywhere in the County or Country. We already have a good selection of bow styles and all levels of archer. Our future plans for the club are to hold regional competitions to begin with and then larger national world record status competitions eventually., , Special thanks go to Sport England, South Norfolk District Council, Archery GB and Waitrose Wymondham for their grants and support for our archery club in Norfolk. Without their collective help, the club just wouldn’t be where it is now., , We support Nelson's Journey each year by raising funds with our Shoot to the Moon, a great fun event for all of our Archers.
